Literature Review: Welcome

There are several components that contribute to the success of differentiated math instruction in an elementary classroom. I was reviewing research involving differentiated math instruction due to the data I collected, and the varied needs in my classroom. The purpose of my study was to determine if the implementation of differentiated math instruction would increase student achievement. My study assisted me in meeting the needs of all of my students, and differentiating instruction through interventions, on-level instruction and enrichment. From the examined literature, the main themes that emerged were differentiation, the math workshop, foundational principles and implementation. This literature review addresses those themes.
